High School Split Season

2025 Tier One Nugs

The TIER ONE NUGS Hockey Club is the Pre/Post hockey program for high school–age players from southwest Ohio.

Led by experienced coaches Tony Morris (University of Dayton Head Coach) and Lee McClure (Former Professional Hockey Player & Director of Hockey Operations with Dayton IceHounds), the NUGS offer players the opportunity to train under elite instruction through a proven and modern development model. Practices are high-tempo and built around innovative drills and competitive game situations designed to develop complete hockey players—focusing on skills that translate directly to in-game performance and moving beyond outdated methods.

Our Team: Tier One Nugs

Tier One Hockey is proud to offer the Tier One Nugs program for high school–aged players, providing a opportunity for players to compete with the best High School players in the area . Players will compete in three tournaments, take part in 16 hours of focused practice, and gain valuable experience through 18–20 games during the beginning and end of their season. This program is intended to give your players a more competitive environment to better prepare them for the High School season.

Season Overview

The Tier One Nugs season runs from August 2025 through late October, with a post-season tournament in March to close out the year.

Cost

Season costs range from $1,000 to $1,300, depending on team size, team makeup, and level of competition. The cost includes jerseys, socks, and warm-up track suits.

Where We Playing, Coach?

Our team will keep travel light, playing games within Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, and Oxford. Tournaments will be held in Ohio or surrounding states, giving players valuable experience against top-level competition while preparing for their high school season.
